Get a COVID-19 test
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms can get a free test. If you have symptoms, get a test as soon as possible. You need to get the test done in the first 5 days of having symptoms.
You can have a test (swab test) to check if you have COVID-19 now. You can choose to take the test:
-
at a test site near you today and get your result tomorrow
-
with a home test kit
Go to gov.uk website for more information on how to get tested. If no tests are available online, do not call helplines to get a test. Please check back on www.gov.uk. Only call 119 to get a test if you have problems using the internet.
Only get a test if you have coronavirus symptoms. If you don’t have symptoms, and have not specifically been advised to take a test, do not come forward for a test. Doing so takes a test away from someone who really needs it.
This service is for people in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
